DS Automobiles has unveiled new ‘Performance Line’ trims for the DS 3 and DS No.4 models, celebrating the brand’s decade-long involvement in Formula E racing. These special editions emphasize sportiness through cosmetic and interior upgrades, though mechanical changes remain untouched.
Aesthetic and Interior Enhancements
The DS Performance Line models feature distinctive satin gold and gloss black accents, including badging, lettering, mirror caps, and wheel finishes. Inside, the cars boast Alcantara upholstery with unique gold stitching on the seats. These visual cues differentiate the Performance Line from other trim levels like Pallas and Etoile.
Equipment Details
Both the DS 3 and DS No.4 in Performance Line trim come equipped with a range of standard features:
– Front and rear parking sensors
– 360-degree exterior camera
– Blind spot monitoring
– Heated front seats
– Frameless rear-view mirror
The DS No.4 adds further upgrades such as 19-inch wheels, aluminum pedals, acoustic tinted rear windows, integrated navigation, and a gold embellishment on the rear pillar. Customers can choose from several exterior colors, including Pearl White, Crystal Pearl, Night Flight, Cashmere, and Perla Nera Black. The DS 3 also offers Ice White and Lazurite Blue as optional finishes.
Pricing and Availability
The DS 3 Performance Line starts at £37,350 for the Hybrid 145 version and £43,200 for the all-electric E-Tense model. The DS No.4 begins at £40,100 for the Hybrid 145, £41,700 for the diesel, £48,190 for the E-Tense, and £49,000 for the plug-in hybrid.
Orders are open now, but DS has indicated that these are limited-run specials without specifying exact production numbers.
The DS Performance Line trims represent a cosmetic upgrade that leverages the brand’s racing heritage. The lack of mechanical changes suggests these models are aimed at buyers prioritizing style and branding over performance enhancements.
